Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian Gone

Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe and Eric Bogosian are now all gone from USA's "Law & Order Criminal Intent" or LAO-CI, or are they? Only Bogosian's character was killed-off. It sounds like the producers want D'Onofrio but his contract was up and he wanted fewer episodes.

Julianne Nicholson, who was partnered with Chris Noth (Mr. Big in "Sex in the City"), left to have a baby. They were brought in to lighten the load for Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe who were there from the beginning. Rumors are D'Onofrio wanted "lighter roles" and less stress so Nicholson and Noth, then Jeff Goldblum were brought in to share the load. Saffron Burrows is the latest hot detective to team with the brilliant detectives.

Eric Bogosian was killed off under cover in part 1 or a 2 part season premiere. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio took his place. Last week, in part 2, D'Onofrio was fired by Erbe for ignoring orders to not solve the case. Kathryn Erbe was given a promotion for the task but she turned in her badge and left after doing the deed.

Saffron Burrows will now partner with Jeff Goldblum and seem to have weekly duties with two shows in a row.

USANETWORK still lists Erbe & D'Onofrio on the title page
  • Detective Robert Goren - Vincent D'Onofrio
  • Detective Alex Eames (Kathryn Erbe)
Another rumor has it that could return D'Onofrio which may explain why he and Erbe are still listed on the cast list. Someone claiming to be executive producer Walon Green said:
You can believe that I'm Walon Green or not but I'm am about to tell you something HERE - THAT NO ONE ELSE knows on other news informing websites or blogs!

Vincent D'Onofrio has a meeting with Dick Wolf pending for Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 2:30PM. Dick didn't give me any details but I think they will talk about renewing his contract. D'Onofrio fans, cross your fingers.

Plus Jeff Goldblum's episode "Broad Channel" has appealed to some, not all. I think that is was very good, some points should have been hit a little more when Capt. Ross was mentioned but other than that, it seemed like an everyday episode. We have more planned and we are currently mapping out episodes 9.14-9.16; we are thinking about going with a two-part finale that puts Nichols's job on the line, but I won't spoil until it's that time!
Stay tuned as we watch for clues and post them here about one of our favorite shows.

I don't see Vincent ever returning. He's got way too many other things going on in his life. He doesn't need LOCI. He himself said, that the only reason he would stay would be for the money. So it was time to move on.
I'll miss him alot though. Seeing his face every other week was one life's simple pleasures!

'I hope not' was Vincent's reply when he was asked about returning to C.I. last week, so his LOCI days are clearly over as far as he's concerned - and if that comment was from Walon Green, I'm Dick Wolf.

After the way Vincent and Kathryn have been treated, I hope they make enough to buy out NBC and USA and then FIRE all the bastards who shat all over them.

Bitter? Moi?

Maybe Vincent and Kathryn can be Konan Obrien's first guests on his new show!
