The Huffington Post reported that Stephanie Birkitt was David Letterman’s former assistant on the Late Show and she made several guest appearances. She was also Letterman’s lover for a period of time.
Allegedly, Letterman and Birkitt had an affair that ended in 2003, before Letterman's son Harry was born. Birkitt was possibly one of several female employees that Letterman had a sexual affair with before he tied the knot by marrying Harry's mother.
