Consumer Reports announced its "Best of the best" used cars for 2009. Page 78 of the May 2009 "Annual Auto Issue" of Consumer Reports ranks the "best of the best" used cars in order of their overall reliability scores for model years 1999 to 2008. Each car model has at least three years of reliability data.
For family cars, Honda Accord made the top of the list. "Other good values" for family cars in order were: Toyota Prius, Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, Toyota Camry (except ’08 V6), Subaru Outback (6-cyl.), Nissan Altima
